The Neolithic artists were less what we would call artists and more like the Spiritual leaders in their tribe. To me a true artist is of that nature. My view of the word artist is quite different than the word as it is used in these times. The first real art work I ever saw was when I was 5 years old. My father had somehow gotten the carvings of the 3 monkeys Hear no Evil, See no Evil, Speak no Evil. They were carved to hang by their limbs and tail. I thought they were fun and at the same time I thought there was something hidden beneath the surface of their gestures. It stayed with me and took 50 years to figure out. It was more than just about practicing good principles. A message was being sent. The message was that there is a virtual door through a vortex to the mystic demension that sits all around us at this present moment as you read this. It was no accident that this realm was trying to reach me at that early age of my life. Real Art is a doorway inward. Its an opening into that which is beyond our senses and it provides access. |
